Copyright Policy
Effective date ·
Waveship distributes original, authorized music only. Artists declare rights for every release before it can be published, and releases containing covers, unofficial remixes, or uncleared samples are routed to manual review.
This policy is a pre-launch placeholder and has not yet been reviewed by counsel. A complete DMCA-compliant process — including a registered agent and counter-notice procedure — will replace it before general availability.
Reporting infringement
If you believe content on Waveship infringes your copyright, email copyright@waveship.fm with: (a) the URL of the release or track, (b) a description of the work you believe is infringed, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized.
What happens next
Reported content is flagged for review. Where a claim appears valid, the release is taken down while we investigate, the rights holder and the artist are notified, and the outcome is recorded. Repeat infringement leads to account termination.
For artists
Your rights declarations are part of your agreement with Waveship. Misrepresenting ownership of masters or compositions may result in takedown, withheld earnings tied to the infringing material, and account termination. See the Terms of Service.
